SIP Regional Prodigy 2024 Competition Held in Chennai
- More than 1300 kids from across the city participated in this contest
Chennai, 25th February 2024: SIP Academy India organised the SIP Abacus Regional Competition 2024 in Chennai today. This massive scale competition was held at R.K. Convention Centre in Neelangarai. The Chief Guest Ms. Bharathi Baskar, a renowned television personality, motivational speaker and a writer inaugurated the event and shared her thoughts.
This mega event brought together more than 1300 kids from different schools in the city. The children attempted to solve 300 mathematical problems in 11 minutes covering Abacus, multiplication and visual arithmetic sums.
While addressing the gathering Ms. Bharathi Baskar said, “This is the first time I am having such young children as my audience. Nowadays, a common complaint from parents and teachers is that, it is very challenging to make the kids concentrate on any work for 2 to 3 minutes. Today, I am really surprised to see these kids being so focused in what they are doing. Inspite of so much distraction around, their only focus was on the numbers and question paper presented before them. Here I take this opportunity to appreciate SIP Academy for making the kids numbers friendly and improving their concentration. This will really help all these children to be a successful person in future”.
Children from the age group between 6yrs to 14yrs competed for the coveted title “SIP REGIONAL PRODIGY 2024”. The parents of 1300 students were present and witnessed this massive competition along with SIP Abacus India employees.
Speaking about the colossal event Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director, SIP Academy India said that, “We are happy to see the growth of the response for this competition every year. SIP Abacus develops skills of the children in Concentration, Numerical Ability, Visual Memory and Listening Skills and thereby gives immense confidence to them. The participation of such large numbers of children shows that they are benefitted by the skills they have acquired through the SIP Abacus programme and are keen to exhibit these skills at a national level.”
The earlier year events have achieved4 LIMCA Book of Records for the size and pattern of the competition held in India and internationally.
