Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar celebrates her Birthday with Cancer affected Children at the Institute of Child Health,Egmore
Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who is illustrious for getting involved in several philanthropic and social activities, celebrated her birthday in a meaningful way by spending time with cancer-affected children at the Institute of Child Health, Egmore in Chennai, through a special program ‘Joy of Sharing’ organized by Save Shakti Foundation and Sankalp Beautiful World.
The event was addressed by actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Dr. Vel Murugan H.O.D.
Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar said, “I feel happy to be spending this birthday meaningfully here with the saviours – Doctors, who have been doing a heart-touching job of saving many cancer patients. We all think about Cancer when some of our close and dear ones are affected by it. We need not strain a lot or contribute something huge, but just Rs.10 can make a big difference in the lives of affected ones. I am emotional and elated to see that these cyclists, completed 1746 Km from Chennai to Kolkata to raise awareness for Cancer Care. I am so touched by the Sankalp and doctors for their life-saving gesture of curing many patients. It’s great to see many patients have been successfully operated, on and are returning to their normal lives. As a part of this program, actress Varalaxmi distributed groceries to the Cancer affected families and felicitated the cyclists who completed 1746 Km from Chennai to Kolkata to raise awareness on cancer care.
The Cyclist Awardees include Shiva Ravi – 26 years, Jay Aswani – 18 years, and Cyclothon Coordinator -Maneet Kulkarni- 18 years
