Atlas Copco Launches a New Series of Portable Nitrogen Membrane Generators

Chennai: Atlas Copco, a leader in compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools, and assembly systems, has launched a groundbreaking range of portable nitrogen generators, aiming to redefine nitrogen generation solutions in India.

The series comprises four models: NM 500-25, NM 1000-25, NM 2000-25, and NM 3000-25, each designed to cater to different nitrogen production scales, from small to large-scale projects. Demonstrating Atlas Copco’s commitment to providing comprehensive solutions for portable nitrogen applications across various industries, including oil & gas, mining, and maritime.

Atlas Copco’s nitrogen membrane generators are a steady source of pure nitrogen. The superior membrane technology sets the NM generators apart, resulting in low energy consumption. These generators are engineered to deliver nitrogen purity levels of up to 99%, depending on the specific needs of the customer.

Prasanna Kulkarni, General Manager – Power Technique, Atlas Copco India, said “We are proud to introduce the new portable nitrogen series to redefine nitrogen generation and deliver tailored nitrogen solutions for all tough environments. It guarantees unmatched purity, efficiency, and resilience, further solidifying Atlas Copco’s role as a comprehensive service provider.”

Ease of Use:
The robust design ensures they can operate in the toughest environments, withstanding extreme temperatures and dust. Easy-to-use NM generators have features like an easy start-up process, commissioning between sites, and an integrated feed air manifold for diverse compressed air source connections. The user-friendly interface and streamlined functionality make nitrogen production efficient and hassle-free.

Range of Application:
The nitrogen generators cover multiple applications, including under-balanced drilling, pipeline purging and pigging, coiled tubing operations, reservoir pressure maintenance, and fracturing. Their versatility extends to mining applications such as extinguishing coal mine fires and inerting abandoned areas, as well as shipboard applications where they help create inert atmospheres in vessels carrying crude oil, chemicals, LNG gas, and LPG gas. This wide range of applications underscores the generators’ adaptability across various industries.

Reliable Nitrogen Generator:
Atlas Copco’s NM series stands as a smart investment for industries requiring pure nitrogen. Reliability is key for application, and thus for our generator unit. Using less energy per ton of nitrogen lowers the overall ownership costs to a minimum. The generators’ compatibility with other Atlas Copco products offers a seamless, energy-efficient solution that reduces operational costs. Rigorously tested for durability, the NM series upholds Atlas Copco’s reputation for resilience and operational excellence, even in the harshest conditions, making it a reliable choice for portable air solutions.

Sustainable Solution:
The NM series not only excels in operational convenience but also in environmental sustainability. By enabling on-site nitrogen generation, Atlas Copco’s generators significantly reduce CO2 emissions and transport costs. The advanced membrane technology and optimized feed air filtration system ensure a consistent supply of high-purity nitrogen while minimizing energy consumption, which contributes to a low cost of ownership.
