VISTAS Fourteenth Annual Convocation ceremony was held at Velan Arangam, VISTAS Campus, Pallavaram, Chennai today (13.04.2024) at 4:00PM
The Chief guest Prof.T.G. Sitharam, Chairman All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has delivered the 14th Annual Convocation Address The Founder-Chancellor Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh presided the function, Dr.A Jothi Murugan Pro-Chancellor (Planning and development), Dr. Arthi K.Ganesh, Pro- Chancellor (Academics), Dr. Preethaa Ganesh, Vice-President, Vels Group of Institutions were present during the convocation
In this convocation a total of 4555 Graduands have received their degrees which includes 3189 UGS 1037 PGs, 329 Ph. Scholars. 80 Gold medallists and 100 Ph.D scholars have received their degrees in person
Dr P Veeramuthuvel, Project Director, Chandrayaan 3 ISRO, Government of India, Thiru Ram Chanran Konidela, Indian Actor, Film Producer and Entrepreneur, Dr.GSK Velu Founder Chairman and Managing Director, Trivitron Healthcare and Padma Shri. Sharath Kamal Achanta, Indian professional table tennis player Chennai have received their Honorary Doctoral Degrees.

Presently there are about 43 institutions with 42000 students and 7500 staffs under Vels Group of Institutions and VISTAS is one among them. Vels Group has also expanded their institutions to Singapore and United Kingdom.
Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS), a Deemed to be University enjoys the unique distinction of being a multi-disciplinary University in Tamil Nadu, offering more than 100 UG and PG Programmes besides Ph.D. The University maintains a high growth rate and currently. there are 20 Schools with 48 departments of study and research. The university, at present, has about 15,626 students and 861 faculty members and more than 100programs of study are being offered. All the UG and PG Programmes have been approved by the relevant Statutory Regulatory Bodies such as UGC, AICTE, PCI, BCI, NCTE, DGS etc., The University has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade in 2019 NBA has given accreditation to eleven of our professional Programmes. We have also received 12 B approval from UGC in 2021.
VISTAS has been accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC in 2019. Eleven of our programs have received accreditation from NBA. VISTAS has been accorded 12 B Status by UGC In NIRF Ranking 2023, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences is in 47th rank, Innovation is in 51-100 Band, the University is in 101-150 Band and overall 151-200 Band.
