World Kidney Day 2026: Apollo Dialysis Clinics and Southern Railway Organize Kidney Health Awareness Drive in Tamil Nadu
Chennai, Tamil Nadu | March 13, 2026: On the occasion of World Kidney Day 2026, Apollo Dialysis Clinics organized a large kidney health awareness campaign across 33 clinics in Tamil Nadu. The initiative focused on the importance of early screening and prevention of kidney disease under the message “Screen Early, Live Healthy.”
As part of the campaign, a special awareness program was conducted at the Southern Railway Central Hospital in Perambur, where more than 100 railway beneficiaries participated. Senior doctors and healthcare experts spoke about kidney health and the importance of regular check-ups.
The event also shared inspiring real-life stories, including an 89-year-old CKD patient who won a Gold Medal in a recognized Asian Race, a railway employee who has successfully continued work while undergoing dialysis for 23 years, and kidney transplant patients and donors who shared their experiences to motivate others.
Simultaneously, Apollo Dialysis Clinics also conducted health check-ups, free screening camps, and awareness programs across more than 30 clinics in Tamil Nadu. Doctors educated people about the risks of diabetes and high blood pressure, which at times is a leading cause of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). The aim of the program was to help people detect kidney problems early and follow healthy lifestyle habits.
