REMEMBERING RABINDRANATH TAGORE ON HIS 163rd BIRTH ANNIVERSARY!
To mark the 163rd Birth Anniversary of Poet laureate Rabindranath Tagore, a melody filled musical tribute was organised by Sur O Lohori, The Institute of Art & Culture. Basically a Pan India event, it was held at 11 major cities of the country
with 20 songs rendered by 100 voices that presented a soul – stirring Rabindra Sangeet. Arundhati Deb from Kolkata was the brain behind the conceptualization and composition of the melodious tunes.
Dr. Jyotirmoy Biswas, well known Opthomologist was the Chief Guest.
Smt. Archana Patnaik IAS, Secretary, MSME, Tamilnadu was the Guest of Honor.
Dr. Debasish Roy, Chairman of The Bengal Association, T. Nagar and Sri. Chondi Mukherjee, President, The Bengal Association, T. Nagar were also present on the occasion.
Ms. Swati Bhattacharya, the Principal of SUR O Lohori oversaw all the arrangements for the musical event in a very effective manner.
