Actress Ashima Narwal, who shot to fame with her debut movie in Tamil titled Kolaigaaran, has found an immensely positive response for her performance in Netflix’s first-ever South Indian anthology movie ‘Pitta Kathalu’ in Telugu. Both the critics and audiences are very much impressed with her prowess performance as Indu in the segment of Pinky.
Actress Ashima says, “This is special to me for many reasons. One is the fact that I am a part of a big project created by Netflix that is their maiden venture in the South Indian domain. The other is working with big names in the Telugu industry like director Sankalp Reddy and actors Sathyadev Kancharana, Eesha Rebba, and Srinivas Avarasala. Although the filming wrapped up a year ago, the release got postponed due to the pandemic crisis. Finally, I am delighted that my work is getting exhibited to the world through a great platform like Netflix. Usually, my friends abroad wouldn’t be able to see my new releases due to copyright issues. However, Netflix premiering it all over the world in 190 countries has created a wider reach. I was surprised and delighted at the same time when my friends from Australia were excited watching my performance as Indu. Pitta Kathalu has endowed me with a great breakthrough and is already getting good offers. Currently, I am reading a couple of Telugu scripts and will be soon finalizing the projects. I have always desired to be a part of projects that own a unique premise and offer me challenging roles and will continue to steer ahead with the same motif.”
