The Women Entrepreneur Award of the Rotary Club of Madras East, instituted jointly by the
family of Late Smt. K. Rajeshwari, was presented at a special ceremony celebrating women
who have demonstrated resilience, innovation, and excellence in entrepreneurship.
This year’s award was conferred on Ms. Anusha Mahesh Dharam, Co-Founder of Kandee
Factory, for pioneering gelatine-free, plant-based confectionery and building one of India’s
distinctive food innovation startups producing vegan marshmallows, gummies, and naturally
coloured sweets for conscious consumers in India and global markets.
The award was presented in the presence of the Chief Guest, Ms. Veena Kumaravel,
visionary entrepreneur and co-founder of Naturals Salon. In her address, she remarked that
when women build enterprises, they create not only successful businesses but also
opportunities and confidence for many others to grow.
Club President Rtn. Balaji highlighted Rotary’s commitment to recognising women who are
shaping the future through enterprise and leadership.
