Samsung India Launches Eighth Edition of Samsung E.D.G.E. Campus Program; Encourages Youth to Innovate and Build Next-Gen Solutions to Real-World Problems
Participants will compete to bag rewards of up to INR 4.5 Lakh, a flagship Galaxy smartphone and a pre-placement offer from Samsung
Students from 35 campuses, including top business schools, engineering, and design institutes, will demonstrate their abilities to ideate, innovate and effectively solve real-world problems
Finalists to be mentored by Samsung leaders to enhance their solutions
CHENNAI – Samsung India today announced the eighth edition of its pan- India campus program Samsung E.D.G.E, inviting young minds from India’s premier institutions to work on real-world problem statements, giving them an opportunity to learn from Samsung’s top leaders and come up with unique solutions to the problems.
Students from 35 campuses including top B-Schools, engineering colleges and design schools will participate in the event that will be held across campuses.
The program will take place in three rounds where the first round will focus on ideation. The team members are expected to collaborate and construct an executive case summary based on thorough research and analysis. Following the campus round, 45 shortlisted teams will proceed to the regional round, where they delve into the case study, submitting and presenting detailed solutions. Once the regional round concludes, top 10 teams will be selected and mentored by Samsung leaders on their respective solutions. These final 10 teams will then compete in a National Round and top three teams will be announced as winners.
Each team will comprise a maximum of three students from across specializations. Each team will present their unique solution showcasing cutting-edge innovation and leadership skills. The top three teams have the chance to win cash prizes, a flagship Galaxy smartphone and a potential opportunity to work with Samsung.

In 2022, 2620 teams across India participated in the program to present the innovative solutions they built. Out of these, team Transcendence of IIM Bangalore secured victory for presenting an innovative and unconventional approach to drive the adoption of IoT devices among consumers in India. Team Srujan from NID Bangalore emerged as the runner-up for showcasing their design solution that leverages gamification through full-motion video to enable contemporary modes of direct communication with consumers. Team G.U.G. hailing from IIFT earned the third spot for presenting a solution that enable consumers to experience the connected devices ecosystem through an in-store smart home model and a Metaverse experience store.
Samsung E.D.G.E., which started in December 2016, is a first-of-its-kind campus program that provides an opportunity for the country’s finest talents to come forward and exchange meaningful insights to get a head-start in their careers.
