Shares of the Vels Film International Limited listed in the National Stock Exchange
Vels Film International Limited are the first from film industry in recent times to list it’s shares in National Stock Exchange.
Starting on a positive note, the demand for the shares of Vels Film International Limited in NSE is on upward trend from the first day of listing.
One of the leading Tamil film producers, Vels Film International Limited, has listed it’s shares in the National Stock Exchange. The shares of this company have been listed today (Wednesday, March 22) on the National Stock Exchange for trading.
A grand listing ceremony was organized at a star hotel in Chennai.
The Head of the South Zone of NSE Shri. Gowrishankar, presided over this important ceremony.
Mr. Vipin Agarwal, Managing Director , Khambatta Securities Limited, Mumbai who are the Lead Manager for the IPO, Mr. Sundarrajan, SRBR Associates, statutory auditors of Vels Film International Limited, Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Managing Director of Vels Film International Limited, Mr. Ashwin Kumar, Executive Producer of Vels film International Limited and Dr. Preetha Ganesh , Director ,Vels Film International Limited were on the dias for this memorable ceremony.
The other personalities present for the occasion were actors Sarathkumar, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Jiiva, Aari Arjunan, Aarav, and Prasanth, and the leading director-actor Sundar C., Perarasu, R. V. Udhayakumar, R. K. Selvamani, Gaurav Narayan, and actress Sangeetha Krish. Directors Gokul, A. L. Vijay, and Tamil Nadu Distributors Association Official Tirupur Subramanian also participated, praising the progressive efforts of Vels Film International Limited.
All the participants conveyed their appreciation and greetings for the event and exemplary efforts of Vels Film Private Limited by ringing the bell kept on the center stage.
While Dr. Isari K. Ganesh addressed the gathering, thanked all who have participated in the ceremony.

“My greetings to all participants from different segments—industry, education, and the film industry.” I wish to record my gratitude to all for gracing this occasion of the inauguration of our participation in the stock exchange.
In those beginning years, Vels was known as the Vels Education Trust.
In the beginning a nursing college was started with only 39 students and 10 staff in the year 1992 , in a humble way.
Presently, there are 43 educational institutions with more than 40.000 students studying. Such is the growth over a period of 30 years.
When I was young, my father Late Ishari Velan used to take me along with him for the shooting of the Tamil movie of Dr. M G R- ‘Rickshakaran. My association with the Tamil film industry started from there, almost 45 year ago.
When I was studying in the 2nd year of my graduation at Pachaiyappa’s College, I produced a movie named ‘Vaakkumoolam’ in the 1984–85 .
Apart from producing movies, I have also acted in around 25 to 30 movies. I have produced 25 movies. As such, I have an in-depth and all-round experience of the film industry and have won the confidence of industry personnel as well.
With that background and aspiration we started the company Vels Film International Limited in 2019 and produced several successful films.
Now our company’s shares are listed in the National Stock Exchange under NSE – Emerge platform.
Though we wanted to list our company’s shares earlier, it got delayed by a year due to corona impact.
On the very first day of listing of our company’s shares , there is huge demand for buying of shares. Though we fixed a price of Rs.99 per share, the demand is on upward upto Rs
106/- per share.
Our company is with a mission of producing good quality movies and serve the entertainment industry. I express my gratitude to the investors who have invested in our organization. We wish to take the company forward in right way with better profits so as to distribute dividends to the shareholders.
On this occasion, I wish to express my gratitude and appreciation to M/s Madhanlal, Venkatesh, Sachin Pillai, Guna, and several others who have extended excellent support in this endeavor.
Our company, apart from producing movies, also planning to diversify into the distribution of movies and the release of the movies in theaters.
Our company’s subsidiary has constructed an entertainment park , by name Jollywood,in Bangalore with a studio complex, with all modern technology facilities. This entertainment park is scheduled to be open to the public around June 2023.
I am confident that this entertainment park will soon become the country’s best “theme park.
I would like to share with the investors that at present our company is ready with five movies for releasing and another five movies are under production,. Also we have initiated pre production activities for another five movies which includes
a high-budget movie production with the combination of actor Jayam Ravi in lead role and A. R. Rahman musical. Another Pan-Indian movie with Jiiva, Arjun, and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is also under production, under the direction of Pa. Vijay .
We will strive with the best of our abilities and efforts to win the confidence of the investors and ensure that their investments yield a sizable profit.”
