SETTING AN EXAMPLE AND A MILESTONE ON TEACHERS’ DAY
An attempt to create yet another world record by teacher & student duo, Dr. Kavitha
Moahan & Neha Suresh Attri.

“To the world you may be just a teacher, but to your students you are a hero.” – a quote that
resonates well with the event. Dr. Kavitha Moahan, a yoga practitioner since 2001 has been
inspiring & healing plenty of lives through the art of practising yoga. She holds a postgraduate
degree from the University of Western Sydney, Australia, 3+ Guinness World Records in Yoga,
and professional experience at various renowned institutions like Apollo Medical Centre and
Shiksha Kids School, Chennai. She is also the recipient of the Yoga Kalaimamani Award in 2014
for outstanding performance in imparting the best Yoga education for the public.
Dr. Kavitha’s efforts and contributions have been remarkable, and this year is no different! To
continue their winning streak, she teamed up with Neha Suresh Attri to create a new World
Record for holding the Tortoise pose (Kurmasana) & Mermaid pose (Eka Pada
Rajakapotasana) for the longest time. The event was held at Aum Yoga Center on September
04th from 01:11 pm onwards. This marks the first time a student-teacher duo attempted for
a world record with an astonishing record.
In the attempt to set a new world record Dr Kavitha Moahan held her contorted body in place
for 01 hour and 08 minutes in the Tortoise pose (Kurmasana) whereas 32 year old Ms Neha
Suresh Attri held her contorted body in place for 01 hour and 16 minutes in the Mermaid
pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana) and the duo created a new world record.
This is indeed the perfect start to celebrate teachers’ day. Onwards & upwards from here!
